While humans and Mythics duked it out on the surface, another tension brewed just beneath in the depths of hell. Long had it been led by a monarch family known well as the Satan family. Passed down from generation to generation with each thousand years that has gone by, Queen Satan was expected to rule the 20th century, but her reign was cut short briefly after the Mythic War started. The queen fell ill and her immediate successor and only daughter, Tiny Satan, was chased from the throne, leaving it to her brother Lucifer. Rising to power, he quickly took a totalitarian grip on the depths of Hell, overpowering the other gods of the underworld from various other religions that had established a court in which to balance the monarchy’s power. When supporters of the original crown began to suspect foul play, Lucifer took extreme measures to silence them and insisted that his own son, Asmodeus, would take the throne instead. Revolutionaries began assembling to overthrow Lucifer, and in retaliation, he dispatched forces to forcefully put down the uprisings and protests. Supporters of Queen and Tiny Satan began fleeing the tyranny and leaving hell. Dissatisfied, Lucifer insisted that he wanted all in opposition to his reign to be struck down and began a secretive project known as Project Huntress.

Gathering only the most brilliant of hellish minds for the project, the goal was to create a demon so powerful and so willingly obedient to the new throne, that it would follow through with its orders of hunting down and killing every last rebel that had escaped from Hell. It took many tries and much experimentation, but the team came together and used an assortment of parts to create what they came to call a Chimera demon. The base of it was a succubus to give it allure. Parts of shapeshifter were added for deception and flexibility with appearance, parts of poltergeists were added to help with manipulation and stealth, parts of fallen angel were added so the creature’s sense of direction would be impeccable, parts of hellhound were added to make sure it would never fail at tracking, parts of witch and enchantress were used to give it mystical and magical power and knowledge, and a variety of other creatures and their respective discerning features were combined to create the final product of all their trial and error. In the end, what they created was Lucina. From the moment she opened her eyes, she was indoctrinated into ceremony after ceremony of vicious, brutal training to become the most dangerous and effective killer Hell would have ever seen. When she was released on the world, the fruit of their labor was revealed to be a bountiful one. Within her first month, Lucina slaughtered and returned over 200 escapees, never resting and never stopping the hunt. She was a bona fide success.

Time went on and Lucina continued to hunt down demons without question, her blind loyalty to the new crown undoubted and unchallenged until finally, she came across a warrior as seasoned in combat and spells as herself. Several weeks of cat and mouse persistence ensued until Lucina was forced to make a truce with her enemy as a result of exhaustion from lack of proper nourishment. The two became oddly close in this truce and Lucina began to realize there was more than just her perspective to the situation. She came to realize that she was not born but created, and for no other reason than to hunt beings not all that different from herself. She and this target, a naga by the name of Yuki, began to grow closer and eventually began a relationship. Lucina attempted to abandon her ideals and flee with Yuki. For some time, they lived in relative harmony, only occasionally and very minorly having to worry about the ongoing Mythic wars. After some time however, Lucina’s past caught up with her. Yuki and her home were ambushed by a flock of Lucifer’s demons and the two were separated. Lucina went on the lamb for a while but was eventually caught, brought back, and forced into rehabilitation. She managed to play it off that she was rehabilitated and managed to get herself out of being dismantled after a few months. Set loose on the world, Lucina continued to hunt, but her lust for blood was no longer so ravenous. She began to grow very choosy about her targets, taking them in and then quietly helping many of them break out. Lucifer’s henchmen never suspected a thing.

Though Lucina has attempted to mend her ways, her goal is ultimately to try and find Yuki and escape once more, this time for good. And perhaps help Hell overthrow the twisted king and restore order to the underworld once again in the process.

With natural charm paired with stunning beauty and dangerous intelligence, Lucina is truly the embodiment of all devilish temptations wrapped together in one hefty package. Her clever mind knows exactly how to manipulate her prey into giving her exactly what she wants, whether it’s information or good old fuel for her succubus self. She’s notoriously good at tracking a specimen down just from a whiff of their scent or the smallest sample of their fur, and when she’s on the job, nothing can stop her. Anything and anyone in her way is likely to get crushed underfoot trying, unless she finds that they can be of some use to her. When she can’t be bothered to put up her seductive facade and act glamorous, Lucina reveals herself to be quite cold and distant. She keeps people at an arm’s length and tries to avoid interacting with them if they don’t have anything to offer her. She’s cool but confident, always ready for action, and takes no bullshit. Her vocabulary quickly switches from sweet cynical, and she’s especially fluent in sarcasm. She’ll often take jabs at anyone she sees sitting at a lower rank compared to her, though her words aren’t simple bluffs to be called. Her powerful build and wild instincts as a hellish being means she can put her money where her mouth is and easily chew through mere mortals and fiends alike. If one could not already infer from her true nature, relationships are not Lucinda’s strong point. She’s fiercely independent and chooses to mostly work alone unless she can find some benefit from rolling along with someone else.

Her outwardly obnoxious behavior towards others may stem from an insecurity that she has been grappling with for a long time. Lucina knows what she is, and she knows she cannot change that. She knows what she was originally designed to do, and she knows that her design is what has kept her alive for this long. However, to a degree, Lucina is bothered not only by what she is, but what she has allowed herself to become. She often grapples with the idea that she is some heartless killing machine meant to hellbent on serving an agenda she knew nothing about but was simply ordered to follow. She thinks a lot about how things could have turned out differently if she was born a demon and not created a monster, even by fiend standards. Her boisterous personality is something she often uses to cover up the fact that she is unhappy with her existence and yet and can do nothing about it. Her inability to form personal relationships is formed by previous experience with losing someone she cared incredibly deeply for, as well as the fact that she is completely unsure on how to manage and handle emotions of her own, much less those of others. She sticks to shallow pleasures like drinking, smoking, and sex to cope with the feelings she has about her own shortcomings and continues to maintain and overconfident and aggressively defensive mask to avoid being seen as weak, as she’d like to refrain from killing people she doesn’t have to anymore.
