JamesMcCrary: Private and independent schools are going to be forced to change their approach. They wont be able to apply traditional pedagogy to online and/or distance learning. If they keep the same, parents will opt for the public option that is providing the <u><link="0">same...and</link></u> maybe even better
MarilynJimenez: My personal peeve are rubrics. I teach at the college level, and recently I gave an elaborate lecture where I explained the assignment.
JamesMcCrary: RN, i see more public districts addressing Ss needs more appropriately and thinking about what distance learning should look like if we roll into next year
MarilynJimenez: At the end, one student came up to me and said what are the rubrics for the assignment?
JamesMcCrary: I think rubrics are great for expectations. They tend to cut down on confusion and questioning
MarilynJimenez: I said I just spent an hour explaining it. His response: Yea, but I do not understand it when you explain it!
