The Homam is performed after conducting a Navagraha Pooja and nine varieties of flowers, nine kinds of cereal (Nava Dhanya), nine vastrams (different colors of cloth), and Each Graha is worshipped with a specific flower by chanting Specific Vedha Mantra.
