Advanced Shading is very similar to Basic Shading, but some extra tools are available.

Crop Mask is one of them. It allows you to crop each module of the shader, so you can have full control over it. You can also rotate the mask or add a Noise.

With the Lightpath tool, we can control the brightest areas of our explosion, to avoid saturating them too much in the render. In this way, we can for example add a "Glow" effect and avoid that it is too exaggerated, but keeping the original brightness in the shader.
