Debris

Create Emitter

Creating Debris is very simple in VDBLab. You must create a new emitter, in which we will add and configure the Debris. When you add the emitter, you must set it to start at the right time, and we recommend a duration of "1" so that all the Debris come out at the same time.

If you want to save a Preset of your burst, it is important that the Debris are in the same Group as the rest of the emitters that make up the burst.

You can add as many emitters as you want, to set up several types of Debris in the same explosion.

Add Debris

To add the Debris to your emitter, you must click on the Debris module and then click on Add Debris.

The first thing is to make sure that the Start | Duration matches the Emitter.

Then simply configure your Debris as you want, speeds, size, rotation, etc... You can choose which collection to use to render the type of Debris you want.

VDBLab will add a large list of Debris Presets in a future update.

Debris Forces

Surely, you have several types of force in your Explosion, to enrich it with details.

The problem is that these forces can affect your Debris in a wrong or uncontrolled way.

To prevent this from happening, when creating Debris, VDBLab generates a force group of its own for the Debris, called "Force_Debris". The group will be empty, so the Debris will not be affected by any external forces, except the ones you add in that group.
