This course continues the discussion of important principles of money, banking, and financial markets. We will examine more carefully and in more detail the connections between the financial system and the macro-economy. This course emphasizes the role of central banks, financial institutions, and global capital flows in economic growth and price stability. To enhance the acquaintance of materials throughout the course, students will read carefully, complete regular quizzes, problem sets, data assignments, group work presentations, tests, and final exam. Prerequisite: ECON320.
