Scrubs Addressing the Firearm Epidemic (SAFE)

Leaders: Brigid Hughes, Rachel Minehan

 The goals of SAFE are to:

1. Provide information and clarification about gun violence in the U.S.

2. Partner with AFFIRM to help connect students with research opportunities and funding around firearm research

3. Equip students and physicians with knowledge regarding how they can improve the safety of their patients through counseling at-risk populations in their clinics or hospital

4. Familiarize students with the basics of gun safety and ownership.
