Rentals

Prerequisites

  • Must have an Outers Club Membership.

  • Current student, or have a UWaterloo Athletics membership if you are on a co-op term.

  • Proof of vaccination and a valid tap WatCard to enter the PAC.

How to rent

  1. Reserve and check out the equipment at our equipment room during office hours (5:30-6:30 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays).

  2. Pay the rental rate for the specified number of days at the PAC front desk (most be done only after equipment has been reserved)

  3. Immediately check the equipment for completeness and damage. You will be held responsible for any missing or damaged parts reported later.

  4. Return the equipment during designated equipment room hours. Equipment must be returned clean and dry. If you rented a first aid kit, inform us of any used items so that we can restock it for the next renter. We do not charge for items used from first aid kits.


Important

  • Each member is only allowed to rent out one item of a kind (e.g. one tent, one sleeping pad, and one sleeping bag, but not two tents). In the winter term two sleeping bags and pads per member are permitted.

  • Except for our first aid kits, we do not provide consumable items such as batteries (for headlamps) or stove fuel.

  • The rental is paid upon check out of equipment, but you will be held liable for the replacement or repair cost if you do not return the equipment, or if it has been damaged.

  • Tuesday to Thursday is counted as one day; Thursday to Tuesday (over the weekend) as two days; a full week as three days.
