TROPICS Lab
Translational Optics Imaging and Spectroscopy Lab, is led by Dr. Ashwin B. Parthasarathy at the University of South Florida
I joined the research group briefly back in Summer of 2021 after taking Electromagnetism course at USF taught by Dr. Parthasarathy. Over the summer my work involved working on automation of a mechanical system for the movement of test sample on a laser optical bench. Post the completion of fall 2021 semester, I joined the lab once again where I am working with graduate mentor Sadhu Moka on development, assembly, and data collection of Near-Infrared or Diffuse Optical Spectroscopy (NIRS or DOS) and Diffuse Correlation Spectroscopy (DCS) clinical monitoring systems.
Near-Infrared or Diffuse Optical Spectroscopy (NIRS or DOS) and Diffuse Correlation Spectroscopy (DCS)
Worked on RF circuitry development assembly of DOS system in the lab. using RF components such as splitters, amplifiers, clocks etc.
Worked on laser calibration for the upgrade of the Diffusion Correlation Spectroscopy system residing in the lab
