It can be frustrating when the grades in canvas don't match the grades in synergy. Please use this checklist. If this doesn't fix the issue, please contact me via email (jodi.weeast@hcps.net)

In canvas, make sure your assignment categories match the synergy categories.
I highly recommend using the pre-assigned categories that are already entered by the district because they already match synergy.
Make sure you don't have any assignments in the imported assignment category in canvas. Simply click and drag them to an accepted district category.

In canvas, click on assignments. Make sure the green check mark is shown for each assignment you want to send to synergy.

Make sure your extra credit assignments are either set to zero points OR you don't give the student more than 200% of the value of the assignment.
You can double-check if the grade sync went through by going into canvas. Click on grade sync and looking at the History. Make sure the status says completed.
Be aware it takes a little time for the grades to go over to Synergy. Wait about 20 minutes before loading up Synergy to check that the grades are syncing properly.
