You need to make sure each assignment you want to be counted for the students to be marked as one to be sent to synergy. Basically, you are "flagging" the assignment to be sent to synergy when grade sync is activated. Here is how you do it.
When you create an assignment, make sure you click the box for sync to SIS.
Note: You must set the assignment group to one of the pre-made groups set by the district.
Anyone can double check that the grades are set for grade sync. In canvas, go to assignments. (see above)
Look for the green checkmark with the circle around it. If it has a black x, then it isn’t being sent to synergy. You just need to click on the black x to make it become a green check.
Note: Any assignments under the "Imported Assignments" category will NOT be sent to Synergy.
Just because you followed the directions above does not mean the assignment will be sent to Synergy. You are just “flagging” it to go out on the next “shipment”. You now need to tell it to “ship” or send to Synergy.
Also, make sure you have no assignments in the imported assignment category.
