Aim 9
Postvention
Postvention
“Postvention” refers to an intervention to support anyone impacted by a recent death by suicide. This aim is focused on developing and evaluating a postvention toolkit for middle school students, staff, and families.
Work on FL-SMARTS
Building on our own previous materials and trainings, as well as recent recommendations from various mental health organizations, a toolkit will be created to disseminate to school staff, students, and students’ families to utilize after a death by suicide in the school. This toolkit will be evaluated for its effectiveness in providing the support needed to these individuals and groups.
