Our Purpose

First Generation Legal Professionals supports law students who grew up in working-class or low-income communities, students who are first in their families to earn a college degree, and students who are first in their families to attend law school. FGLP strengthens the resources USD Law currently provides for first-generation students, leverages the law school’s supportive alumni community, and offers unique programming designed to target issues that disproportionately impact first-generation students.
