This was the first series of the seminars. It took place between March and May 2021 and five speakers were invited. Topics covered included historical sociolinguistics, indexicality, conceptual metaphor theory, teaching of a English as a L2 and forensic linguistics. 

This was the second series of the seminars. It took place between November 2021 and March 2022 and seven speakers were invited. Topics covered included historical sociolinguistics, sociophonetics, corpus linguistics, multimodality, experimental methods in critical discourse studies, corpus stylistics, Corpus Learner Research and Digital Humanities. 

This was the third series of the seminars. It took place between October 2022 and May 2023 and six speakers were invited. Topics covered included ecolinguistics, historical sociolinguistics, world Englishes, multimodality (Gesture studies) and second language acquisition. 

This was the fourth series of the seminars. It took place between October 2023 and April 2024 and six speakers were invited. Topics covered included dialect writing, forensic linguistics, digitial discourse analysis, world Englishes, AI and metaphor studies. 

This was the fifth series of the seminars. It took place between November 2024 and April 2025 and four speakers were invited. Topics covered included cognitive stylistics, critical sociolinguistics, digital humanities and conversation analysis. 

This was the fifth series of the seminars. It took place between November 2025 and April 2026 and four speakers were invited. Topics covered included dialectology, world Englishes, English as a medium of instruction and corpus stylistics.
