Eighth House is a restorative residency program for visual artists, curators, and writers nestled in the forest of central Vermont. As a first-time prize partner at Untitled Art, Miami Beach, Eighth House will award one exhibiting artist a two-week stay at its campus during the summer of 2026. Artists enjoy access to fresh food directly from neighboring farms, including local honey tastings and on-site visits that foster deeper community engagement. While the residency provides time for focused studio work and experimentation, it also prioritizes rest, rejuvenation, and immersion in nature. Many artists use this opportunity to explore new mediums or shift aspects of their practice. Past residents have embraced the time to reset, while some have engaged in open studios, visiting lectures, and artist talks.

Now in its third year, the Last Resort Artist Retreat Residency Prize continues a meaningful partnership between Untitled Art and The Last Resort Artist Retreat (TLRAR), a program of Charm City Cultural Cultivation (CCCC) founded by artist Derrick Adams. The residency subscribes to the concept of leisure as therapy for Black creatives and is committed to offering both the space and a thoughtfully curated experience conducive to deep rejuvenation. TLRAR invites artists by invitation-only to a four-week summer residency designed to foster rest, reflection, and fellowship. Each cycle provides guests with housing, chef-prepared meals, private workspaces, and therapeutic services led by trained practitioners focused on holistic wellness, encompassing both physical and mental well-being. The prize encourages artists to pause, reflect, and reconnect with their creative practices through intentional leisure and community engagement.
