The Laker Connection was first presented to the Clayton State community in the spring of 2006. Former president Dr. Harden provided the publication's welcome address featured in the inaugural edition. The magazine is published twice yearly and includes news and information for the campus community.  This publication was created at a very pivotal point in the institution's history.  At the time, Clayton State had just undergone a name change and the institution added its first graduate program, the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies.
