A Legacy of Student Perspectives
The Bent Tree student newspaper aims to entertain, educate, and inform the campus community while providing students with the opportunity to develop and enhance their journalistic skills. Students are encouraged to share their opinions and concerns on various topics and issues within the newspaper. The student newspaper was initially printed and published bi-monthly starting in October of 1974. The Bent Tree publication switched exclusively to electronic editions in 2014.

Interesting Facts about the Bent Tree Newspaper
The routine publishing of the newspaper started on October 9, 1974. However, the first edition of the Bent Tree was Published in December 1969.
The publication issued its editions on a bi-monthly basis, with some years producing monthly editions.
Paper Sizes and style formats varied throughout the years. 502 edition pages were sized at 11"x17", 2 editions were printed at 11"x18", 116 edition pages were printed in size 11.5"x15.5", and 762 edition pages were printed in size 11.5"x14' paper.
