I am seeking your nomination in the ballot to elect a new Executive Council for the London & Eastern territorial Black and Asian Ethnic Minority (BAEM) Representative.

I work for the NHS Blood and Transplant as a Healthcare Scientist. I have been representing members in Unite including predecessor unions for 25 years. I am the branch secretary for North London Health with over 1500 members.

My main responsibility is bringing members together to shape policies in the workplace and in the union. I have been at the forefront of campaigning for equality and fairness at every level of our trade union. I have led various campaigns and demonstrations fighting against racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia and fascism.

Our Union stands at a crossroads, and the choice is clear:

• I fully support our General Secretary and her Manifesto- Jobs, Pay and Conditions that have delivered over half billion for members. 

• Change must continue.

As a supporter of the Unite Broad Left I fully support the programme laid out on the home page.
