Violacein & Microbial Bioactive Metabolites

Microorganisms produce a wide variety of bioactive compounds with potential applications in medicine and biotechnology. One of our major interests is violacein, a naturally occurring microbial pigment known for its diverse biological activities.

Our research investigates the production, purification, biological activity, and antimicrobial potential of violacein and other microbial metabolites. Through these studies, we aim to better understand how naturally produced compounds can be developed or applied as novel bioactive agents.

미생물은 의학 및 생명공학 분야에 활용될 수 있는 다양한 생리활성 물질을 생산합니다. 본 연구실의 주요 관심사 중 하나는 다양한 생물학적 활성으로 잘 알려진 천연 미생물 색소, 비올라세인(violacein)입니다.

우리는 비올라세인을 비롯한 다양한 미생물 대사산물의 생산, 정제, 생물학적 활성 및 항균 잠재력을 연구하고 있습니다. 이러한 연구를 통해 천연 유래 화합물이 어떻게 새로운 생리활성 물질로 개발되거나 응용될 수 있는지에 대한 이해를 넓히고자 합니다.
