Each summer, we offer 7 individual weeks of Summer Drama Camps to boys and girls entering Grades 2-7.
Summer Drama Camps run 9 am to 3 pm each day, starting the first full week of July and finishing in late August.
For 2026, Camps will start on July 6 and finish on August 21. Online Registration will open in May.
Camps are held at the Bay Community Centre, 11 Station Road, Head of St. Margaret’s Bay.
Campers are divided into two groups by age (entering Grades 2-4 and Grade 5-7). Each group performs its own short musical at the end of the week. Please note that the age groups are firm; we cannot make any exceptions.
Our camps are based on the rehearsal and performance of a short musical show per group each week. All campers are expected to take part in the appropriate show for their age group. We do not have a component that involves “Junior Volunteers” who work on costumes, sets, and props but do not take part in either play.
We have a Cancellation Policy for our weeklong camps (see below).
The Camp Flyer for 2026 will be available in the Spring.
AM/PM Child Care
Child Care will be available from 8–9 am, Monday to Friday, and from 3-5 pm, Monday to Thursday.
Please note that there will be no "after" care on Fridays, as most parents take their children home after the shows.
Members of our Camp Staff will be responsible for Child Care each day. They will offer a safe environment as well as appropriate activities to the children who have been signed up for the week.
It is important that parents pick up their children no later than 5 pm. Additional fees may be charged for late pickups.
Parents must sign their children up for Child Care when they register them for camp.
If you cancel by noon on the Wednesday before the first day of camp, you will receive a 100% refund. Please give us more notice if possible.
Those cancelling later will forfeit the camp fee, unless the spot is filled from the waiting list.
In addition to the weeklong Camps, we offer several Saturday/Weekend Camps over the summer. Typically, we have “Spotlight”, a 4-hour Saturday program for (entering) Grades P–3; a 2-hour Audition Workshop for (entering) Grades 3-6; “Play in a Weekend” (a non-musical play), and the “Musical Theatre Weekend” (a short musical). Both are rehearsed and performed in a weekend, complete with costumes, sets and props. PIAW and the MTW are for (entering) Grades 4-12.
You can register for Saturday/Weekend Camps by completing and submitting a registration form (included in the Camp Flyer) to unicorn.theatre@outlook.com.
The Camp Flyer will be available in the Spring.
