Mindfulness Research & Teaching Group

at the University of Macau

We are a group of mindfulness researchers and practitioners at the University of Macau and collaborative institutions. Our mission is to better understand mindfulness through research and practice, and to share mindfulness skills to improve human resilience and wellbeing in Higher Education.

Mindfulness is a scientifically proven skill for improving one's mind and wellbeing. It originated from ancient contemplative wisdom, while modern Mindfulness-based intervention and curricula, notably MBSR, MBCT, and MBCL/MSC, are secular, scientific, and evidence-based.

Courses

Course 2

Introduction to Mindfulness: How the mind learns to respond rather than react

Do you find yourself being reactive (rather than responding skillfully) to unpleasant experiences, and that the reactivity causes more stress than relief?

In this introduction to Mindfulness course, we’ll explore how to pay attention on purpose, learn to shift our perspective to new ways of being, and train the mind to respond rather than react.

This course is developed by the Oxford Mindfulness Centre.
