Activity
Provide the Declaration of Independence (or any other historical document) in both English and Spanish (Or any other language representative of your classroom).
Have students work in pairs or small groups to read and analyze the different versions
Ask students to highlight/annotate and discuss key terms and phrases in both languages.
Have students write a brief comparative analysis discussing any differences in meaning, tone, or emphasis between the two versions.
