I have been overwhelmed by the organisation of this group that we are affiliated with in order to become a sponsor family. The support has been immense. Our guests arrive this afternoon, I know the best moments are yet to come, but already the observation human kindness being so vibrant and strong in the Chichester community is so wonderful.

Hi Sarah, just to let you know we have got the last of the 7 visas through today so I am expecting our two families (Raiok and Gogovych) to arrive in a week or so. Thanks for your help in making that possible.

Sarah, Kate and Jonathan have in the space of a very short time organised the most amazing operation. Within minutes of messaging Sarah, she was on the phone asking questions about what housing we could offer and using her professional skills to pair us with a family that would work with what we could offer. She explained how their process worked, sent me helpful links to their website and by that evening we had started making contact with our family from Ukraine. Kate then stepped in to support me with the visa application process and by following their step by step guide and advice from Kate when necessary to apply for the visas we got them within a matter of days. Jonathan is constantly supporting the process of arrival and settling in of the families with regularly updated information on what help is available and putting people in contact with each other.

The three of them honestly deserve medals for what they are doing. They are always available and work unbelievably hard to make sure that so many Ukrainian families reach safety and that the sponsor families have all the help they need. I am enormously grateful to them for making this whole extraordinary process turn from a possibility into a reality.

Do I believe in Angels?

Well, there is an Angel of the north. I now know of one in the south, who goes by the name of Sarah Stewart-Smith. Sarah has put me in touch with several Ukraine families, helped and supported both me and the families until we found the right match.

Sarah then went on to help us through the difficult time of completing Visas and other important information, sponsoring and hosting our guests. Yes, I do believe in Angels!
