What does Commencement/graduation mean to you?

Commencement is a time for me to celebrate myself for seeing my educational journey to fruition. 

Did you have to overcome any difficult challenges during your education to make it to graduation? If so, what were they?

I was in school full-time while also having a full-time career. I experienced some mental wellness challenges as well as my mom passing away a couple of years ago. I was also planning a wedding during this time which was a positive milestone but time consuming in addition to an already full plate. 

What has your experience at NLU been like?

I’ve had an overall great experience. 

What are your plans for the future?

I’m currently a government contractor and will continue to elevate and seize any career opportunities. Ideally I would like to transition to the path of entrepreneurship.
