Universal Robotics 47774C is a private/independent VEX VRC team based out of Redmond, Washington. This is our fourth season competing together, and we are an all girls 2024 team. From 2017-2020, we competed in the VEX IQ division, and 2021-2022 will be our second year competing in VRC. Our team consists of 4 girls who have all been doing robotics for multiple years. The goal of our team is to train our members to become the engineers of tomorrow.
There is a meaning behind our team name, and it is what binds us together. Our team name is the Universal Fighters because giving up is not an option, every single one of us will fight to the end of the universe for the team, each other, and the robot.
Our team number is a built off of our middle school number, 47C, a symbol of when and where out journey started. And the C stands for Comet, our robot's name.
We live by the following principle: Nothing Beats Effort, Passion, Dedication.
Effort - a determined attempt to be the best
We are a team that always gives 100% effort, no matter the situation. We don't need each other to be the best. We need each other to always give their best effort, because in the end, we believe that our best will make us become the best.
Passion - the love for doing something
We all love doing robotics and have a passion for STEM. We think of each other as more than just a robotics team, and would fight to the end of the universe for the team, each other, and our robot. To each one of us, the team always come before ourselves.
Dedication - being committed to a task or purpose.
We believe dedication is the most important principle, as it is the outcome of effort and passion. A person can't be dedicated to something if their effort and passion isn't in the right place. Our team meets 15+ hours a week, whether it be designing, building, driving programming, or working on the team website.
