I completed my bachelor's at UF with a major in Nuclear Engineering. I have been a part of the Slepian group for two years and am also a part of another research group within the Nuclear Engineering Department. In fall 2025, I joined the Pennsylvania State University's Ph.D. program in nuclear engineering!
I am worked with Dr. Amy Miller who is a post-doc in the UF Astronomy Department. In contrast to the rest of the group who primarily focus on cosmology, my research focused primarily on stellar astronomy. I helped with a project that is seeking to explore the characteristic size scale of Young Stellar Objects (YSOs) within the Large Magellanic Cloud. I used Python to compute parameters related to these objects, such as photometric magnitudes, to provide information that can assist in the determination and analysis of the characteristic size scale.
