UF always has what you need and shares the same values as its students. There are two museums on campus, the Harn Museum of Art and the Florida Museum of Natural History, and they never fail to leave students in awe.
The University of Florida's Harn Museum of Art has been a pillar of the North Central Florida arts and cultural community ever since it opened its doors in 1990. The Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida aims to inspire, instruct, and enrich people's lives through art. Through top-notch exhibitions, collections, scholarship, and programming, The Harn employs the visual arts to spark discussions about our shared cultural history and urgent modern concerns.
The Harn Museum of Art provides faculty with chances to assist their students experience art, history, and culture, sometimes in unexpected ways, thanks to its collection of more than 11,300 pieces of art! You can look through the collections to get inspiration and more insight. Ten galleries make up the Harn Museum of Art's building, with one gallery for each of its collecting interests (African, Asian, modern and contemporary art, and photography). More than 2.5 million people have visited the Harn since it first opened.
The Harn Museum of Art stands out among university art museums as a perfect foundation for revolutionary developments in the visual arts. As a result, the Harn brings together the university and the larger community to contribute in a ground-breaking way to research, teach, and service.
All museum divisions provide internships in an effort to give students chances for development and professional experience. This allows students to build their network and meet other students who are interning as well!
The Harn uses a variety of innovative techniques for the exhibition and interpretation of art to make great works of art accessible to a wide range of audiences. Most importantly, it encourages cultural inclusion! Every student from all walks of life are encouraged to visit the Harn Museum and experience it firsthand. Entry is free to all students so all you need is your UF issued student ID.

Tuesday – Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
