Free ACC Events
The Arts and Crafts Center at Reitz Union offers wonderful resources and activities for UF students to be creative. The ACC hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year. Two examples of events previously hosted by Arts and Craft Center include Wellness Wednesdays and First-Year Fridays. For Wellness Wednesdays, a free craft activity is available for all UF students every Wednesday 1:00-5:00pm. First-Year Fridays offered students the opportunity to make a free wood gator magnet on Fridays from 1:00- 8:00pm.
No advanced registration is required for these hosted events.
Host a Social
Students can also host their own social events at the Arts and Crafts Center! Social Crafting Kits can be purchased at the Arts & Crafts Center prior to the social. Groups can choose from a variety of creative and artistic activities such as paint-a-pot, origami, and canvas painting while socializing and building community.
Grab & Go Crafts
Grab & Go craft kits that can be purchased and completed at wherever you want!. These craft kits are usually pottery and glaze paints. After painting the pottery, you can bring the pottery back to the ACC to be fired and then pick up your final masterpiece 7-10 days later.
Other Available Crafts
In person crafts include painting pottery, paper projects, button making, origami, metal stamp work, and jewelry making. To participate in jewelry making and ceramics, students must complete an orientation and purchase a week or semester membership.
Membership Options
The weekly membership is a fixed rate for all customers, regardless of university affiliation, and is $15 per week. The semester membership is $75 and allows UF students and their spouses/domestic partners to join the ACC for the current academic semester. At the midpoint of the semester, after midterms, the rate charged is one-half the semester rate.
