Despite being a Top 5 public institution, that does not deter us from being sportsy. We pride ourselves on school pride and exemplify that through academics and sporting events. As an everything school, all classmen show out to attend these events to support their school through incredible school spirit with groups of friends.
Sports Events 101 : Tickets
To get admission to Gator athletic events, except for football, they are free to all UF students except for playoff games. Students can redeem their student season passes to these events via Florida Gators by ticketmaster. Supporting school sports is tradition for UF students and doing so with others upon arrival at UF will really jumpstart your experience here. Even when you are an upperclassman, you will want to attend these events. So, grab your favorite UF apparel and rock out that school spirit as on your first memorable UF experiences.
TOUCHDOWN : Information about Gator Football
Although most athletic events are free and you can simply attend those, UF football is on a whole other level. Days of prep go towards these game days that lead to tail-gates, reconnections, and peak school spirit. Tickets are sold on a game-to-game basis or can be purchased as a season pass; but hurry up, they run out quickly! Football games are a great way to socialize with a group, as most of the crowd is just composed of friend groups. With the amount of raw emotion during these games, it will not only drive you and your friends closer, but you all to the school as well.
Gator Athletics Disability Accommodations
UF Athletics does a good job in allowing for disabled seating for different sporting events. There is disabled seating for 5 out of 7 of the 7 Gator sporting events. They have designated wheelchair accessible tickets that go up for sale before the season starts, although it is low in number. To make up, they sell more tickets on a game-to-game basis if UF’s player’s and opponent’s guests cannot occupy these seats. To assist in making parking more convenient, there are reserved disabled parking spots as well as non-reserved. There are also many disabled access entrances for many of these venues, but we recommend contacting the Gator Ticket Office for more inquiries regarding access.
