Rocks 7 requires disk capacity of 32 GB and memory capacity of 2GB on both the frontend and the compute nodes.
- Go to www.rocksclusters.org/downloads.html and download the kernel roll.
- To create a bootable USB of the Kernel roll follow the directions from CentOS. The other rolls (base, core, CentOS, Updates-CentOS, area51, fingerprint, ganglia, kmv, hpc, htcondor, perl, python, sge, and zfs-linux) will be installed via a network accessable from the frontend.
- Follow the directions in the Base Users Guide to install and configure the frontend.
- Install the compute nodes.
- Add queues.
- Set up fair share use.
