Hard (cold) reboot a node

1. Turn off the compute node (power button)

2. in root:

insert-ethers --remove=compute-x-x

Blue screen appears and then message says the node is removed

3. in root:

insert-ethers --hostname=compute-x-x

Blue screen appears and has a few options to select from

4. select compute (since it’s a compute node)

5. Now turn on the compute node (power button)

6. When the option is shown, press F12 to PXE boot

It looks for the MACID, GUID and DHCP and proceeds to the rocks installation through the head node after retrieving the iso image file.
