On a sunny day, Udaan Vidyalay's children, accompanied by teachers and volunteers, visited Surajkund Mela, an annual crafts fair near Delhi. The vibrant atmosphere greeted us with folk music, dance performances, and enticing aromas. The children explored handicraft stalls, admiring pottery, textiles, and jewelry, and engaging with artisans. Captivating cultural performances showcased India's diversity, while interactive workshops allowed the children to create their own art pieces. Indulging in diverse culinary delights, from momos to street chaat, added to the experience. The day fostered a deep appreciation for Indian heritage and unity. As we reflected on the day, filled with joy and newfound knowledge, we left Surajkund Mela with a determination to preserve and promote our cultural traditions. The trip was a memorable and transformative educational experience for Udaan Vidyalay's young learners.
