Financing LIEP (Local Inclusive Education Programme)

 LIEP has been in operation since 2017 and during this period it has been financed by a combination of student fees charged from the students themselves (Rs 500 per student per semester of 5 months) and donations from the NGO trustees (Itysham Khatoon and Nikhil Banerjee and their family members). Material support – in the form of schoolbooks, stationery and furniture has been received from the St Alphonsa’s Catholic Church Delhi, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and a few friends and relations of the trustees themselves. Since March 2021 Udaan Education has received monthly monetary support from GRC India (Grassroots Research and Creation)

Update 

In the wake of the current Corona Pandemic Crisis, and the subsequent strain on the PDS (Public Distribution System) Udaan supported by several Private donors in conjunction with its sister NGOs was able to provide a month's ration to 18 families for two months. 

For this purpose an amount of र 60,000 was raised, this target was exceeded by र 7000*, we are proud to say that every single rupee collected to this end was spent on food, rent, and distribution of rations. The overheads were borne by the NGO trustees themselves.

Inspired by this work, some local good Samaritans including Mr Kunal Sehrawat supported our cause by providing another month of ration.
