Students will use event, loop, and sound blocks in Scratch to create interactive musical instruments they can click on to control.

Create a program that combines interactive sprites with interesting sounds.
Develop greater fluency with sequence, loops, events, and parallelism.
Practice experimenting and iterating in building up project creations.

Vocabulary

algorithm: A list of steps that you can follow to finish a task.
event: An action that causes something to happen.
initialization: Assign an initial (beginning) value to an object (or variable).
loops: The action of doing something over and over again.
parallelism: Making things happen at the same time.
program: An algorithm that has been coded into something that can be run by a machine.
sequence: A particular order of steps or events.
