Raised Beds

A lot of gardening in climates such as Colorado is done with a raised bed technique. For this form of gardening, beds are constructed and then filled in with better soil than the area usually has. These beds have a lot of advantages, like as being flexible in placement and more resistant to weeds due to dense planting. A downside to these beds is that they dry out much quicker, because the soil is more exposed to the air.
