Student Interns

Has the Newman Center been a place of growth, faith, and community for you in your years at UC?

Are you looking for ways to share your experience with those around you and to spread the Good News?

Are you hoping to grow in your leadership skills, ministerial abilities, and understanding of your place in the Church?

Are you interested in living in an intentional community in a house that will support and guide you in your journey of faith?

You may be called to a year of intentional leadership and service to the Newman Community at UC!

The St. Monica-St. George Internship program is a great opportunity for older students to serve as authentic Christian leaders for the Newman Community.

The internship program is an opportunity for students in their third year or above to serve the UC community as leaders in a specific area of ministry. We are looking for interns who are natural leaders, who are integral members of the Newman Center, and who show a dedication to growing ever deeper in their faith with Christ and his Church.

To read more about the commitments of the internship, read the Internship commitment sheet: INTERN EXPECTATIONS -

Interns will work alongside the campus ministers, joining the mission to serve the needs of the Catholic students at the University of Cincinnati. Each intern will be assigned one of three leadership teams--Encounter team, Retreats, or Evangelization and Discipleship. They will exhibit leadership in their area of ministry, and serve as a resource and guide for all student leaders within their ministry.

Interns will meet bi monthly with a campus minister to discuss their personal, ministerial, and faith-based goals. These meetings will assist in the overall formation throughout the year of the internship, and create a platform for support and accountability in all areas of the internship.

Applicants will need to provide two recommendations. One who can speak to your employment experience and one who can speak to your faith experience.
