The mission of the Pediatric Cortical Visual Impairment Society is to advocate for improvement in the quality of life of children with vision loss due to brain disorder, disease, or injury. The mission is restricted to matters concerning the sense of vision.

The following 4 webinars give an introduction to CVI and strategies to use by Chris Russell. They were put on by Maryland and DC AER and the Maryland State Steering Committee Serving Visually Impaired Students. (AER credits were only available to those who watched live)

Little Bear Sees

Great website with lots of resources on CVI.

"The goal of the foundation is to provide families in need with the information, products and tools to help their children with cortical visual impairment (CVI) learn to see. We believe that the fact that many children are either misdiagnosed or not diagnosed at all is tragic and avoidable. We strive to provide as many people as possible with information and tools to improve the lives of children with CVI."

Example of weather book with image of sun and he word sun

I have created a number of books using Google Slides for my son with CVI.  This one focuses on the weather, with the sun, clouds, and rain.  It would be appropriate for children in Phase II-III.
