Private tutoring was my favorite part of my teaching experience in Madrid. Although I loved teaching in each of my schools, I greatly appreciated my one-on-one time with my tutoring students. I established strong relationships with each of my toddlers, primary students, and adults that I worked with on a daily basis. I created such impactful bonds with these families that my adult students and the parents of my younger students even acted as "Spanish parents" for me. They cooked me dinner, took care of me when I was sick, and continue to check in with me from across the world during the Coronavirus pandemic. I am genuinely proud of and pleased with my tutoring work because my students learned so much and grew as English speakers throughout my six months in Madrid.
