Private Tutoring

Tutoring Goals

My goal before even moving to Spain was to land private tutoring gigs for students aspiring to learn English outside of school. Immediately upon starting school, I was fortunate enough to gain clients from online advertisements, co-workers, or parents at one of the schools I worked. By March, my clients consisted of four toddlers, five primary school students, and three adults. My schedule filled up until the point of (almost) exhausion. On Mondays-Thursdays after getting home from teaching at school, I was bouncing from apartment to apartment via the metro to tutor my clients. Although I wasn't home much, tutoring my clients was very worth it to me. The money was very good and my tutoring side hustle is what allowed me to travel so much throughout my time in Madrid. And most importantly, I loved teaching so much that I didn't mind spending most of my day either en route to a class or in a tutoring session.
