Project Conclusions

Project Takeaways

Overall, I'm very happy with the outcome of my project and website that I was able to create out of my passion for this subject. An important lesson I learned by doing this project was that students can learn and understand very quickly when lessons are tailored to their learning styles. Other teachers that I've encountered don't spend time creating engaging and fun lessons outside of school. Learning in their classes isn't necessarily dreadful, but it's boring and doesn't excite the students. By creating games for students to play in class, students instead came to class eager to participate and learn in order to win.

Another main conclusion I came to after completing this project was accepting and understanding that English is spoken and taught differently everywhere. I learned this when Raquel taught the "have got" conjugation of the verb "to have" in class. The American-English accent and dialect may be the most likeable worldwide, but it isn't the only correct one. Once understanding this, I was able to help and educate the class on how to say an English word or phrase the "American" way.
