Get an elevated narrated tour of Enderby Cove from the best way to travel through the Tundra: snowbuses.
Snowbus trains consist of 2 cars where a larger, 7 row snowbus pulls a smaller, 5 row snowbus, similar to a sled. These buses will be retrofitted with larger windows so that every seat, regardless of where they are in the bus, has a great view of the land below. This gives each train a theoretical capacity of 65 people. With a total of 10 trains, and an average dispatch interval of a minute, it gives the snowbus a theoretical capacity of almost 4,000 an hour. While not quite an Omnimover like a true PeopleMover, guests will always be moving in and out of the loading platform to keep up the high capacity.
To get on the ride, guests enter through a snow-covered log cabin that still has the fireplace on to stay warm. Snow gear such as snowshoes, ice picks, skiing equipment, and more, can all be found throughout the small queue and loading platform.
As the snowbus pulls away from the station, the driver of the snowbus comes over the speakers to start the guided tour of the land. From there, guests get an up-close and personal view of Mount Whitley to see just what the UFO on top looks like before entering a large tunnel deep inside the mountain.
While inside Mount Whitley, guests can see the mining tunnels that were made to excavate and explore the mountain. As guests get deeper into the mountain, they get a sneak peek of the ride cars below, for both sides of the ride experience. From here, guests come back out the other side of the mountain and cross the first large snow bridge to the next land mass.
These bridges give the illusion of being fully made snow structures to keep the skis on the snowbus running smoothly.
Guests continue along the elevated trail getting new looks at Expedition: Down, the Saloon, the entrance to the Tundraland Caverns, and more all while the driver of the snowbus gives a narration of what else they can see and do through the land during this quick 10 minute tour.
Once they do a large lap around the land, guests pull back into the cabin platform to unload while the next guests get ready to go.
