Course Site Creation

Course sites are automatically added to Blackboard soon after they are added to Banner. 

Course  Site Deletions

To keep the Blackboard server running efficiently, the server administrator removes course sites beginning one year and two weeks after the semester that the course starts.

Examples:

• Summer 2021 course deletes will begin two weeks after the summer 2022 semester begins.

• Fall 2021 course deletes will begin two weeks after the fall 2022 semester begins. 

• Spring 2022 course deletes will begin two weeks after the spring 2023 semester begins.

Faculty who have content in a course that they need to retain can request a master site and copy the content from the semester course into the master course. 

Faculty needing to save data can download the grade book and the gradebook history.
