eCore courses are online courses created by a course development team and maintained for faculty use. The development team consists of content faculty, an instructional designer, librarians, and Online Learning Technologists. eCore course content goes through a Quality Matters review.
Faculty can request the eCore content from the Online Learning Division. When faculty teach an eCore section, the expectation is they personalize the course but make no modifications to the content. Faculty can use components of the eCore content and make modifications as desired, but if doing so, they should not represent the course as eCore.
Online Learning does not require faculty to teach eCore content. Individual programs and disciplines set expectations for using the eCore content.
As of April 2024 the following courses have eCore content:
· BIOL 1114 (Non-Majors)
