Converting a Test from a Word Document to a Blackboard Format

Oklahoma Christian University has an open-source Blackboard Test Generator. This tool allows you to paste questions you have in a document or text file into a textbox and then obtain a text file that you can import into Blackboard.
Open your web browser and go to the test generatorhttps://ed.oc.edu/blackboardquizgenerator/Default.aspx
Paste your questions into a textbox.
Format the questions following the “basic information” on the page, selecting the correct answer choice.
Click the Generate Test Questions button, which downloads a .zip file that you can import into blackboard.
Adding Your Questions To Blackboard
Go to your Blackboard course site
Go to the Control Panel >> Tests, Surveys, And Pools >>Pools.
Click the Import Pool button toward the top of the page
Making the Test Available to Students
Go to the area of the course you want students to access the quiz or test
Click the Assessments button and then the test link.
Click the Create button,
Type the name of your quiz/test. You can leave the other fields blank
Click Submit
Click Reuse Questions >> Find Questions
In this view you can select the questions you want to use in your test
Click Submit and click OK
On the add test page, click Submit
Set your test options and Submit
