Good morning to my teacher and my classmates. Today, I am going to talk about an effective way to curb COVID-19 by prohibiting mass movements. There should be a prohibition of movements among the citizens at this point of time to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Mass movements are the key that leads to the spread of COVID-19. Citizens should adhere to government advice by not joining any mass movements. All mass movements should be put to a halt and netizens should take the opportunity to utilize all the convenience that the internet gives.
Next, the government could block the entire main road arteries in order to prohibit the mass movement of citizens. The blocking of the main road artery across the country will ensure the full compliance of citizens regarding the Movement Control Order (MCO). Other than that, the government should also conduct more patrols around popular hotspots to prevent mass movement. Regular patrol is needed to tell the citizens that the government is committed to solving the COVID-19 problem in the country.
The government can also prohibit mass movements of citizens by imposing heavy fines on those who refuse to abide by the law during the Movement Control Order (MCO). Heavy fines may only work on those who are poor but may not work on those who are rich. A heavier deterrent such as jail can be imposed on repeated offenders who refuse to co-operate with the local authorities in curbing COVID-19.
