NARRATIVE:
I OFFICER SARGE(765C) ON THURSDAY JANUARY 2ND 2025 OBSERVED A MAN JUMPING OVER A ROCK ON A BIKE HE CONTINUED TO JUMP IN AND OUT OF THE ROAD. I MADE MY WAY TO TALK TO HIM WHEN HE POINTED A WEAPON AT ME THEN RAN OFF. I TOOK OFF AND STARTED FOLLOWING HIM HE REFUSED TO STOP AND I CALLED IN A PURSUIT. AT THIS POINT HE ENDED UP GOING ONTO THE ROUTE 68 PARALLEL WHEN HE STARTED SHOOTING AT ME IN MY PATROL CAR AT THIS POINT I RAMMED HIM WITH MY VEHICLE OFF HIS BIKE. THE SUSPECT GOT UP AND STARTED SHOOTING AT ME AT THIS POINT I HAD BAILED OUT OF MY CAR AND MADE MY WAY TO THE BACK. AT THIS POINT A DPS TROOPER HAD RAMMED HIM WITH HIS VEHICLE CAUSING HIM TO GO FLYING INTO A ROCK ENDING THE SHOOTOUT AND KILLING THE SUSPECT. I WENT OVER TO HELP CLEAR THE SUSPECT AND THEN INSPECTED MYSELF AND HAD OFFICERS INSPECT ME FOR GSW'S AND OTHER INJURIES. I WAS HIT IN THE VEST BUT NOT MAJORLY HURT WE WENT TO THE SUSPECT TO RENDER AID BUT HE WAS DEAD SO WE CALLED COUNTY CORNER AND CALLED COUNTY TOW FOR THE BIKE. AFTER THAT I WENT BACK TO THE STATION TO COMPLETE MY INVESTIGATION.
