Field surveys of Ambon, Maluku
Date: 11 March–24 March 2022
Location: Ambon, Maluku, Indonesia
The northern Banda Arc, eastern Indonesia is a seismically active region and has experienced damaging earthquakes and tsunamis (Figure. 1). We conducted field surveys in Ambon to investigate the active faults and the tsunami deposits in Ambon (Figure. 2). We conducted geomorphic observations, ground-penetrating radar profiling (GPR), paleoseismic trenching, and paleotsunami excavation in Ambon.
