Field surveys of Amahai, Maluku Province
Date: 17 October–18 October 2021
Location: Amahai, Maluku Province, Indonesia
In 1899, an earthquake believed to have originated on the Kawa Fault destroyed Seram Island settlements. As a result of this incident, the tsunami wave height reached 9 meters in Amahai. In this survey, we used a Drone DJI Mavic 2 Pro to conduct aerial photography in the Masohi City region, Amahai District, Central Maluku Regency in Maluku Province. This research was focused on acquiring spatial information in the form of an aerial photo mosaic. The survey coverage was determined by collecting a sample of the most significant tsunami evacuation route region, in a shooting area of approximately 1.4 square km. The aerial photo conditions are with a flying height of 150 meters from the home point, an overlap of each lane of 80 per cent, a total of 7 flight missions, an average length of 16 minutes per flight mission, and a covering area of 30 hectares in every mission.
