Check-ins are light-touch, informal conversations that provide:
A listening ear
Emotional reassurance
A sense of connection
Gentle encouragement
There is no pressure, no agenda, and no expectation to share more than you’re comfortable with.
Short scheduled check-in calls
Delivered by trained volunteers
By telephone or video conference
Focused on how you’re doing in that moment
Check-ins can be one-off or arranged regularly, depending on your needs.
Disability Check-In Support is suitable for adults who:
• Feel lonely, isolated, or disconnected
• Would benefit from regular contact and encouragement
• Want support without committing to a full mentoring session
• Are managing everyday pressures, including those related to disability
Check-In Support is completely free. We currently support adults with disabilities in and around the West Midlands area.
Please note, check-ins are not therapy, counselling, or crisis services. If you need urgent or specialist support, we will help signpost you to the appropriate services.
