To provide clarity on advancement, T582 has developed the following policies:

Activity Policy: Developed by the scouts on the PLC, this defines what it means to be an active scout, for Star, Life, and Eagle rank requirements

All forms must be renewed annually!
Form C must be signed by a doctor, and is required for all outings of 72+ hours.
Printed versions only, as we are often off the grid and BSA does not allow digital medical forms.
BSA Swim Tests must also be renewed annually, to participate in aquatics activities, including both swimming and boating.
Passing the BSA Swim Test at the Beginner level is required to achieve Second Class rank.
Passing the BSA Swim Test in its entirety is required to achieve First Class rank.
Note: All aquatics requirements are signed off only by the Scoutmaster.
